Sony Ericsson has an exclusive four-year, the sponsorship agreement with the female tennis player Maria Sharapova. Sharapova is the leading manufacturer of the brand's overall Ambassador in Switzerland and is working with Sony Ericsson, the design team on a range of products and accessories. She is also moving forward a number of new brands of consumer campaigns.

The agreement of the manufacturer compliments six-year, $ 88 million (£ 44.8 million) overall title sponsorship of the WTA Tour and remains the largest deal in the history of trafficking in women sport.

Sony Ericsson Vice President and Head of Sales Dee Dutta, said: "The safety of an ambassador of the global brand is a natural development for our brand to the next step in a market increasingly competitive."

Sharapova said: "Even if people know that I am tennis player, I have so many passions beyond sports, such as fashion, music, film and design, Sony Ericsson, and that I am sharing through our partnership
